I was sitting in my mate Dave's kitchen the other night, minding my own business, when all of a sudden - BANG! - a pigeon flew into the window, leaving behind small streaks of bird crap. I suppose I would do the same if I flew into a window at that speed. The poor little fellow walked around outside for a few minutes looking dazed before making a few awkward attempts at flying away. It seemed like a good idea for me to go out into the garden to help it fly away before the local feline community discovered it. So I went out and tried to coax the bird into flying, but every time it tried to fly, it ended up landing awkwardly in a bush. I tried to pick it up, but everytime I got close it scurried away under a bush where I couldn't reach it. Pigeons are surprisingly wily creatures. Hopefully that trait kept it safe from those cats.
I spent yesterday designing a cover for the Electric Penguins' new promo CD. It was a difficult enough process - there were loads of ideas floating around and it was hard to settle on just one. After running through a few ideas, we settled on a really simple cover... Only to find that the exact colour they wanted is outside the gamut of what computer screens and printers can accurately reproduce. Still, it looks nice.
